EVENT 2026 OHL Draft Final Evaluation
Projection: Middle Six Forward
Tools: Skating, Puck Skill, Two-way Effort
Development Opportunities: Pace, Active Engagement
A very methodical player, Emry Lowe flashes his IQ and hockey sense by assessing the play before activating. He constantly scans the ice and puts himself in good positions in all three zones, helping out in the defensive end using his stick and smart reads to cut off lanes and win back possession. He is capable of setting up his teammates and creating plays while finishing them himself, scoring at a high rate both ways. He occupies the middle quite a bit, a trait that will serve him well as he moves up.
Lowe has a fairly well rounded game overall, sometimes by nature of him tending to hang back, he can end up being the third man in and playing a supportive role on board battles. Not just in this area but he could work to assert himself more down the road, taking control of possessions and dictating play a bit more at both ends. If he is able to play with more pace, he will be a much more dominant player overall.

Game Information 2026 OHL Cup vs. Upper Canada College
The centreman Emry Lowe plays the game with purpose, utilizing his high hockey IQ to read the ice. His poise shines through as he keeps his head up and picks his routes to cut through the opposing defence. He has slick hands and is able to side-step the opposition while transitioning into the offensive zone. Lowe was able to flash his offensive intelligence, exiting his own and end driving up wing to score a goal, cutting UCC’s lead. His two points in this match were a good indicator of his involvement in the game.

Game Information 2026 OHL Cup vs. NOHA
It wasn’t the best viewing of Lowe, but he still had his moments, especially in puck pursuit. Lowe was engaged without the puck, always looking to get into spots to intercept a pass or apply pressure, breaking up plays and winning back possession. There were flashes of his typical tactical processing with the puck, spotting open lanes to navigate into with calculated touches, navigating his way to the scoring areas for a few good looks. Emry scored the lone 99ers goal, blasting home a one-timer from long range off a cross-ice seam pass from Vanacker. Even if it wasn’t as dominating of a performance as earlier in the tournament, Lowe still made an impact, especially in his dialed-in off-puck game.

Game Information Alliance U16: Brantford 99ers vs. Windsor Spitfires
Emry Lowe is not always the flashiest player but he consistently makes the ‘right’ play, putting himself in a good position to make positive plays on the puck. In all three zones, he watches the play unfold and is willing to engage when necessary, showing some legitimate two-way abilities. He has good speed and a smooth stride, allowing him to be useful in transition and as a puck mover. He has quick and precise hands, moving around opponents with the ability to pull off deceptive moves. Lowe mainly provides his value inside the offensive zone as a playmaker, setting up his fellow 99ers teammates, finding them in good positions to score.

Game Information 2025 Alliance Faceoff vs. Sun County
Emry Lowe is one of the smartest players every time he touches the ice. He showed that here, as he consistently maintained sound positioning in all three zones, picking good routes and good timing. He forechecked and backchecked hard using his quick feet to move from point A to point B. He was able to move the puck well with his playmaking and stickhandling, sometimes opting to use one-touch plays on the puck to poke it free or redirect it. He ended the game with a goal and assist but could have easily had more had the puck bounced differently.
