A player I’m constantly writing notes on, he was certainly making himself seen to the scouts in the crowd with hacks and slashes behind the play, physicality off the puck and some clever and quick playmaking, especially with the man advantage and at 4 on 4. With some time and space to play with, Desnoyers can make an impact with his body and his vision with the puck. He was an effective penalty killer, earning a scoring chance on one of Patrick Quinlan’s best saves in the London game. He elevated everyone he played with on numerous occasions the passing was excellent, spotting options quickly and throwing pucks in front in threatening ways over and over. He was also a bit of an annoyance for the NTDP, getting involved in mixups after whistles and trying to get in their head. He was strong all around, supporting his talented linemates in space and making great opportunities for others.
