Another player who was relatively quiet in this game for the CHL, Reid showed some nice defensive entry stops with strong breakout work quickly following, which is half the battle for a defenseman. He was making good offensive zone pushes to create for others, getting to the net with and without the puck but he was unrewarded on the scoresheet. Fending off pressure decently well along the boards was another strength from time to time, but Reid seemed a step behind in his own end here and there, getting physically beat by the US, but he remains an intriguing offensive option.
