EVENT MANITOBA 2024 U16 MALE POE SPRING SELECTION CAMP
He’s such a naturally smooth skater from the backend. It can catch you off guard how efficient a puck retrieval and zone exit can be as he cuts away from pressure down low before spotting his outlet passing up ice. He’s someone that has that match up defensive ability to challenge zone entries with quality angles and simplify the breakout the other way. His pacing for two-way play is already so high.

EVENT GRAHAM TUER U15 CHALLENGE
I really liked how steady and composed Calum looked in each game. His skating mobility side to side looked fluid and active. He’s got some size to him already and could be a more consistent puck rusher as well moving forward. Most of my initial notes were about the extension of his skating stride, how he moved with power, and how he made a few retrievals seem each with active scanning and good movement. Most of his passes were simple in nature but always seemed smart and set up his forwards in motion. Defensively, he aggressively would block off the inside lane from players. He’s the kind of player who is aware, adaptive, well-rounded, and was forcing players to choose pathways he was comfortable with.
