For such a physically mature defender, I found that Carter Amico used just the right amount of technical skill and evasion tactics to be effective as a modern two-way defender. He seemed to show good awareness of his teammates locations so that he could efficiently move the puck around the ice. In the defensive zone he was quick to recognize his teams vulnerable areas and make quick work to cover them with his lengthy stride and reach.
