One of the more talented skaters on his team, Drew Fox wasn’t quite at his peak I’d say, but still was of note on occasion, collecting pucks in dangerous areas of the ice, playing with speed, and getting some good looks on the net. It’s clear he sees the ice well and has some level of processing ability to quickly adapt and change depending on what his opponents do. He made some nice plays both sending pucks to the slot, along with quickly getting shots off in the face of pressure. One of his best chances came off zipping into the zone with speed, walking into the slot, firing a puck on net, and then collecting his own rebound for another great chance. I was a fan of his off-puck tenacity and pace as well, he plays a quick game on the forecheck, can smother puck carriers, and is tough to shake off. Although things didn’t perfectly click for Fox, it’s clear the talent is there.
