Carter is a right shot defenseman who plays a heavy game. He is becoming a solid, reliable defender that keeps his game simple. Carter needs to improve his skating in order to be more effective. As he gains more confidence as a first year player, Carter will begin making more offensive plays. Improved skating could turn Carter into a higher end defenseman in junior hockey. He gained some USHL experience last season, playing four games with the Omaha Lancers.
