Lots to like on the BK blueline, and that includes John. His mobility stood out early, and just his overall confidence maneuvering the blueline. I thought he did really well closing gaps, and even getting in front of dump ins. Early in the game he took the extra two strides to seal the wall and forced a block that led to a breakaway for his side. This was a part of the compete theme with Frick. He was physical in his own end, zapping cycle plays, and stripping opponents of pucks on many occasions.
