There was a fair bit of parity with the teams in this event and while the Rangers had their impressive outings and also took their lumps Scranton was one of the mainstays who endeared himself with his offensive game and drive. I was impressed by his sense for the game and ability to take over shifts with his dynamic skating ability and puck skill. He’s a light possession player but was highly elusive with the puck and really efficient at picking his spots. His timing and defensive stick were also of note as he generated quite a few takeaways by making excellent reads to get the jump on opponents. Of his highlights, a 4 point performance to lead his team to victory in their game vs BK was at the top of the list.
