One of the players that I found more impressive than expected early in the game against London, Beauchesne made some strong offensive zone pinches with physicality when needed and simple effective pass work around the ice. Well rounded in the subtle areas of the game, defusing pressure effectively, making good reads of the ice, showcasing good awareness of his surroundings and good fundamentals to facilitate play and work off of more aggressive linemates. Beauchesne was simple but effective defending at both bluelines was also a strength of his, laying some solid hits at times as well. There were some offensive moments through his passing, and his shot wasn’t much of a threat when he used it, but he remains a rock who plays bigger than he is and continues to look like a potentially solid minutes-eater.
