Gallant is an undersized forward who is listed at 5’8, 169lbs, serving as an assistant captain for the U18’s. His size does not shy him away from contact though as he plays a gritty, intelligent game. Like most American players he had a quiet first game, however in game two of this series, he threw multiple hits and was involved around the net getting some good scoring chances. His speed puts defenders in vulnerable positions forcing them to take penalties on him. He showed solid defensive play, taking time and space away from opponents. Gallant's great vision and passing ability combined with his tenacity makes him a threat to the opposition whenever he is on the ice.
