Mutryn is a big body who plays a power-forward style of game but also has great playmaking ability. He excels down low in the offensive zone and around the net, making plays, protecting the puck, and scoring goals. He has good speed and can get in on the forecheck quickly, allowing him to use his body to force turnovers and finish checks. Mutryn plays in all situations for the Steel, playing a solid two-way game.
