Formerly Fort Sask Ranger in the AEHL but now with Calgary on a real strong squad. While he’s still a touch smaller than some others, Cole shows he’s extremely shifty on his edges, patient in transition, and is aggressive with and without the puck. He can be the first on the forecheck, finish harder checks, and force defenders to really be selective with their passing decisions as he hounds and mirrors them. I like his fiestiness, his ability to stop quickly and explode, and the lateral control he shows in his stickhandling. It is that combination of fighting for loose pucks and his creativity in changing passing angles and ripping shots in motion that really get the eyebrows raised. There are so many elements which can really pop and he does it with that in your face attitude.

Transport piece with a shot that plays. He carried from the defensive zone, shook pressure at the line, and punished space with a quick, accurate release. Strong posture lets him shift lanes late without losing speed. There is no extra handling at the blue, just one move to separation and a puck on net.
