EVENT 2026 OHL Draft Final Evaluation
Projection: Middle Six Upside
Tools: Transitions, Two-way Presence
Development Opportunities: Shot Selection, Play Creation
Using his two-way instincts, Evan Fisher is a centre that is able to impact the game for Huron-Perth, scanning his own end and helping to win pucks back for his team. At times his defensive responsibility even makes him act as a third defender, moving back to cover and assist on the backcheck. He constantly moves his feet and reads the play, showcasing a high hockey sense, something that helps him in transition where he can carry the puck up ice and knows when to distribute it to his teammates before driving the net and getting into scoring areas down the middle. He possesses good size and uses this to push through contact and outwork his opponents.
In my viewings of Fisher, there is a lot to like between the size, motor, two-way abilities but at times it felt like his shot selection could have been better. He has a hard shot that he can get off from different areas of the ice but there were sometimes he would opt to shoot from a bad angle or from the outside. I think being able to allow himself to hold onto the puck for a moment longer and look for a better option would allow him to be a much more dynamic player and rack up points at an even higher rate.

Game Information 2026 OHL Cup vs. Hill
Evan Fisher is a workhorse type of player, one that has strong hustle and is unafraid to get his hands dirty if it helps his club. He uses his body to shield the puck and his passing ability to advance play making him a solid piece in different contexts.Fisher has a sound two-way brain and is able to use it to identify weak points in the opposition and take advantage of this. He plays all-situations minutes for the Lakers, something that will inevitably get him big minutes as he advances. In this game he was impacting the game in multiple ways, playing hard and well across the entire playing surface.

Game Information 2025 Whitby Silver Stick vs. Marlboros
Evan Fisher is another skilled, high motor Huron-Perth player, he possesses good defensive responsibility, with good reads and poise. In this game, recorded one assist but consistently drove play, moving the puck well in all three zones. He was able to assist on the breakout but also complete more refined passes, placing a hard pass right to Tanner Luczka to deflect in front for a 1-1 tying goal. Even outside of this one play, he was attempting to push the pace for his team all game.

Game Information Draft Day Showcase
I really liked some moments from Fisher, showing an eagerness to attack the net and work well on the exterior of the offensive zone. He protected the puck well to the outside of the offensive zone, shielding pucks from defenders with body positioning, and found ways to drive in from these exterior positions. Whether it was off the rush or the cycle, Fisher could effectively find ways to the scoring areas and scored twice from in and around the crease.
