After Murata, I thought Edwards was the Flyers' most impactful forward. Edwards was dominating in small areas within the offensive zone. He was so effective at dodging checks along the wall and in the corner with slick puck moves and controlling the play in confined spaces. No matter how much pressure he was under, Lincoln could always get himself out of any tricky situation, buy time and space, and then move pucks to the slot. Even outside of small areas, he was controlling the puck so well, prioritizing possession and dominating with the puck on his stick. Rarely did he rush his decisions, always seeming patient and deliberate with his actions, making him one of the more significant transition and offensive impacts for the Flyers over the weekend. Like many of his teammates, I've appreciated Lincoln's game across many viewings this year, and it was excellent to see him meet my expectations over the OHFs.

Edwards was another impressive player on the champion Don Mill side. I mainly noted him for his pace in everything he did. Whether it was his skating, puck touches, or decisions, everything was quick and decisive, rarely slowing things down and always looking to attack. This made him incredibly evasive, able to dodge any defender who tried to close him down and keep play within the Flyer's control. Especially in small areas, I always found Edwards had the right move for the moment to problem-solve his way out of danger. All of this resulted in many sequences of Lincoln dodging a check and advancing play to the dangerous parts of the ice, mainly as a passer, spotting open teammates in the slot for quality chances. Needless to say, it was a solid showing for the Flyer and one that puts him on my radar as I work on learning more about the 2009 Ontario class.

EVENT
2024 Toronto Titans Tournament
I mainly noted Lincoln as a crafty puck manager who combined quickness and tactical handling to spark offensive chances, which was consistent with my read on him from the OHFs. With the puck, he always operated with a sense of control, played with patience, never rushed his decisions, and just managed the puck well. If Edwards was under pressure, he wouldn't hesitate to turn back to regroup or use a delay to buy space, all falling under the theme of a player who prioritizes possession. These tendencies to play under control resulted in a player who always made the right decision at both bluelines and was instrumental in his lines' transition game. Within the offensive zone, all of these skills and habits were also apparent, using smart handling and patience to draw pressure toward him before dishing off to a teammate in open space. He had some scoring chances of his own but mainly made his mark as a passer, as evidenced by his six assists over the tournament. As with many of these Don Mills skaters, it was just nice to see my initial evaluation of Lincoln hold true after a solid first impression when I saw him at the OHF Championship.

2024 GTHL Playoffs
The '09 duo of Murata and Edwards was the most impressive tandem in this game, playing well off one another and combining for many of the Flyers' chances. Edwards mainly made his mark as a passer, spotting an open Murata for quality scoring chances. He had a few nice sequences attacking open space, driving to the slot for scoring chances, but it was mainly his passing that created quality opportunities for the Flyers.
