I appreciated Cantin’s performance in this game for his calculated and tactical approach to creating offense for his linemates. As a puck-carrier in transition he was often trying to lead linemates with his passes, saucering passes into open pockets of ice so they can skate into pucks and attack the offensive zone with momentum. I liked his anticipatory habits in the offensive zone, as there were a couple of time where he was able to pick off a clearing attempt along the boards before making a quick centering feed looking to create a scoring chance from the slot.
