The youngest of the Plante brothers, Victor shares some similar traits that are always good to see in young undersized forwards, most notably a high work rate. Plante worked hard on the ice, fending off defenders as he protected his puck as he kept his head up searching for openings to feed a pass through. His first thought was always pass, and he often waited until the last second to pull it off and was very successful in doing so. He showed quick hands in close quarters and was able to lure in his opposition before catching them out of position and dumping the puck off. Plante played an intelligent, effective, and simple game and was able to be a consistent part of the offense.

2024 USA Hockey 15O National Championship - Boston Jr. Eagles vs Chicago Mission
Much of what I said for Varga rings true here as well, Victor Plante was phenomenal in this game and is ultimately my first star. From early on he was making his presence felt and his quick decision making and accurate passing was key to getting his team going early on and it continued to propel them forward once they had found their footing. He played a key role in their third period onslaught as he assisted on the opener thirty seconds into the frame and then scored one of his own just eleven seconds later with a beautiful shot coming down the left wing side. He handled the puck very well and was able to enter the attacking zone with speed and composure, using a deft touch here and there to put the puck past the defenders and get down low where he could create. He was a pest on the forecheck and his tireless work ethic was catalytic, his play was very impressive and he certainly played his part in helping his team to victory.

2024 USA Hockey 15O National Championship Quarterfinal - Chicago Mission vs New Jersey Rockets
Another player having an excellent tournament, Victor Plante turned up when his team needed him most and was able to nab the overtime game winner. He and Cody Powels showed good chemistry in this one as they linked up on the final two Mission goals. Plante found a little bit of space right around the bottom of the circle and was able to end the game with a great shot across the goalie. He picked things up in the second half of the game and was able to showcase his playmaking ability as he was able to get on the puck more frequently and start having a say on things. He saw the ice extremely well and was making smart and simple passes that kept his team moving the puck around well and avoided making any mistakes. His assist in the second period was brilliant, a spin-o-rama pass from along the right boards that was perfectly to the tape of Powels to hammer home. His vision was a problem for the Rockets to deal with and he was even more dangerous as he kept mixing up his pace and creating an extra bit of separation for himself to generate offense.

2022 CCM 68: White vs Navy
In a dominant performance for the White Team, Victor Plante showed some grit and skill throughout their 8-2 victory. Plante was quick out there and his hands were able to match the speed of his legs as he showed nifty hands in tight as the opposition attempted to close him down and he was able to get the puck off his stick and onto those of his teammates. He was always looking for the passing option where he could, and his vision afforded him every opportunity to do just that as he was a great distributor of the puck in this one. He used his low center of gravity quite well in physical battles and showed his tenacity as he would often come out of those battles with possession of the puck.
