Kindree was among a duo of Hurricanes forwards who consistently made things happen on their team throughout my viewings. Over the OMHA Championships, Kindree offered a little bit of everything, adding value in many different ways. He mainly made his mark as a shooter on the powerplay, scoring a handful of goals from a similar sequence, blasting pucks by goalies from the wing of the umbrella. Whether shooting from a distance, walking in, and roofing it short side, Kindree was always a threat to score on the powerplay. Ethan showed flashes of high-end skills, using quick moves with the puck to evade defenders and advance play, creating scoring chances impressively through these moves. As always, he impacted transition positively, being one of their leading puck carriers in the neutral zone and dictating play through the neutral zone on many sequences.

Kindree was once again solid for the Hurricanes. He excelled along the boards, winning puck battles and protecting the puck in small areas. He is quite strong on the puck and difficult to knock off, allowing him to thrive in these small area situations. Adding to this narrative of winning puck battles in the corners, Kindree was also effective on the backcheck or disrupting plays in the neutral zone. When he didn't have the puck, Ethan constantly applied pressure and tried to win back possession. Ethan so often took the puck wide, protected to the exterior, and then threaded a puck to the middle of the ice to an open teammate. He notched a pair of goals in my viewings, a tip net front and smashed home a one-timer on a 2-on-1. As time goes on, Ethan is quickly becoming one of my favourites on this talented Halton Hurricanes side.

Kindree was the main transition impact on the Hurricanes, carrying the puck through the neutral zone and ensuring play entered the offensive third with control more often than not. Many of these zone entries resulted in Ethan opting for shots from the exterior, but there were a handful of clever passes to teammates in the middle of the ice. Ethan showed flashes of high-end puck skills on a few occasions, skirting his way around pressure with slick lateral moves with the puck and navigating to safety. With Ethan, I think he'll need to get a bit more efficient through his strides. Becoming more efficient on his stride recoveries and seamlessly chaining together strides will help him generate and sustain more power. It's not an enormous hurdle, but it's something I've noticed as a key area for development for him moving forward.

After the Oakville Rangers, Halton was the most prominent team of standouts from the OMHA West, especially their forwards. Among the Hurricanes forwards, Kindree was one of the main play drivers and offensive creators. Ethan stood out fairly soon in my views of Halton as he was a quick and shifty forward who could explode with a few strides and crossovers. While skating at full speed, Ethan displayed confidence and puck skills, enabling him to thrive in transition and often enter the offensive zone with control. The puck skills were the main selling point with Ethan, as he always found a way to maneuver the puck around a defender's stick to buy time and space. After winning open space with a nifty puck move, Ethan was an effective playmaker, connecting on many passes to teammates open in the slot. He was patient with the puck and, overall, a solid puck manager who prioritized possession.

Kindree was the secondary engine responsible for a good source of Halton's offence. He protected the puck well along the boards, spinning off defenders and controlled a good chunk of the offensive sequences. Ethan created plenty of chances as a passer, showing patience to delay or take pucks wide to allow his teammates to catch up and get into open spots to be in prime passing positions. While most of his contributions came through his passing, Kindree showed flashes of eagerness to attack the middle of the ice for his scoring chances, flexing some quality puck skills to maneuver around defenders into shooting lanes.
