Smith is a fiery player with a nose for the net. Always in on the forecheck and getting involved in the play, Smith is constantly trying to make an impact. He is fast in straight lines, tenacious on the forecheck, and responsible on defense. Smith can often be found battling in front of the opposing net for body position and trying to bang in rebounds. Smith can be a pest on the ice, making his presence felt every time he is out there.
